The views are just so stunning around every corner that i am sure i will be needing a new camera for America.
Daniel and I are now in a cosy routine with our campervan. Campervan Dan is my tour guide (Dan having muted the radio - GPS linked tour commentary that came with the van after about 2 minutes - "what is this rubbish"). We are both in our element as we are tripping over rainbows, my favourite thing next to twinkling lights, and Daniel is taking the most incredible photos. Mine are ok. I am a point and shoot kind of girl and am being even more reckless knowing that Campervan Dan is keeping his tripod balanced, wide angled super camera polished every evening.
It is raining and grey today but that only makes the waterfalls more spectacular and the misty circling the mountains is really quite special. The view moves all the time with the changing weather.
We are in Milford Sound at the moment at Milford Lodge, a very cosy den with a super duper kitchen fitted with all the gadgets you could need. It is an improvement on our capsule kitchen in the van. They have wifi, although this post may be costing me a small fortune, and i am surrounded by views you would normally pay hundreds for. I think we are paying $40 NZ for the night in the campervan with use of all the facilities. Not bad.
We are heading to the pub later for the New Zealand v Australia game. Daniel better keep quiet in the corner. A feat he has never managed before. he got really offended when i told him that most people couldn't tell the difference between an NZ accent and an Aussie one. Eeek.
We are on a cruise of Milford Sound tomorrow and then back on the road. Campervan Dan starts his tour around noon and i am not sure where it will take me.
You MUST visit NZ, it is the most amazing place i have ever been...well at least joint first with some other very special places.
