Bali, Indonesia, May 2010

Third stop: Pondok Pieces. Balian. West Coast Bali.

Whooooooooo Hooooooo.

After 4 months of traveling through SE Asia without any surf we made it finally to an ocean with surf.

We checked into Pieces and it was nice, a beach hut in a green garden with the usual rock walled bathroom and all that. Asked them about the board and fins I'd requested.... Dive fins and an old boogie with a shortboard leash. NOT HAPPY.

So we stayed a day. Got some kick arse photo's and headed to Kuta so I could hire a board and surf and ANNA could shop and hang out with some aircon.

Will write more about Kuta next.... but here are some of our fav photos from Balian. There's one of Anna too..

Bali, Indonesia, May 2010 Second Stop: Sarinbuana Eco Lodge. Mount Batukara. In central Bali. Hey there it's Dan again. So our second stop was the above mentioned and well.... not sure what to say. I am a bit conflicted about the place. The positives are it was beyond beautiful and green and tropical and secluded and all that..... But man it was so expensive. When we booked it the GBPound was cranking.... since then though... down down down.... So we were a bit bummed out about that. We had our own little cottage which was lovely.... it had an outside shower and a fantastic...
